The San Francisco Office of Labor Standards Enforcement (OLSE) has released an updated Fair Chance Ordinance poster. This poster must be placed at each job site or workplace in a location where employees can read them easily. The notice must be posted in English, Spanish, Chinese and any language spoken by at least 5% of the employees at the workplace, job site or other location at which it is posted. According to the OLSE, the Fair Chance Ordinance poster may also be printed on 8.5" x 11" paper.
Employers with five or more employees – regardless of employee location – are subject to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance (FCO). As a reminder, the FCO regulates when employers may inquire into criminal history as well as what types of criminal history employers may consider in employment decisions.
