Kelly Uebel, Esq.
Kelly Uebel, General Counsel for Asurint, joined the screening industry in 2011 following several years working in the electronic discovery, computer forensics, and data recovery space. In her current role, Kelly oversees the teams responsible for counseling staff on legal and regulatory risks and requirements. This includes providing subject matter expertise, while monitoring the ever changing legal and regulatory landscape that impacts background screening and drug testing.
In addition to her role at Asurint, Kelly is an active member of the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA), participating in the US Council’s Government Relations Committee, serving as the Tenant Screening Subcommittee Co-Chair, serving on the Leadership Development Committee and Finance Committee. Previously, Kelly served on the PBSA’s Board of Directors, including as Chair.
Previously, Kelly worked as General Counsel for Info Cubic, as Legal Counsel–Global Regulatory Affairs for First Advantage, and as a Compliance Officer focused on domestic and international screening issues for Verifications, Inc. Prior to joining the background screening industry, Kelly worked as a law clerk and attorney focused on thought leadership for Kroll Ontrack.
Kelly holds a law degree from William Mitchell College of Law, and she received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (with a concentration on law and politics) and a Minor in Management from the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Kelly is admitted to the Minnesota bar.
