Donald Carr

Donald Carr joined Asurint as Chief Financial Officer in 2024, bringing over two decades of experience across finance, strategy, and corporate law. In his role, Don leads Asurint’s financial operations, with responsibility for financial planning and analysis, long-term strategic planning, reporting, budgeting, and enterprise risk management, supporting Asurint’s continued growth and leadership in the background screening industry.

Prior to joining Asurint, Don has held CFO and other senior financial leadership roles across a broad range of industries, including residential and commercial services, advertising technology, retail, and technology-enabled services. Don spent six years at Sterling, a global background screening leader, where he served as Senior Vice President and Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, Data Strategy, and Pricing, playing a key role in developing data-driven forecasting and pricing models, optimizing financial planning processes, and supporting corporate development initiatives, including capital market activities.

Earlier in his career, Don worked as a Mergers and Acquisitions Associate at White & Case LLP, advising clients on complex transactions and developing a strong foundation in deal execution and legal strategy. Throughout his career, Don has been recognized for his strategic mindset, analytical depth, and ability to align financial operations with broader business objectives. His diverse background across industries and disciplines brings a unique perspective to Asurint’s executive leadership team.

Don holds an MBA from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley, a Juris Doctor from Brooklyn Law School, and a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University.
