Yay, it’s 2021! What does the New Year mean for HR pros, staffers, recruiters, and others across the industry? For many involved in the hiring process, it means the annual compliance check-up is due.
Regularly taking stock of compliance is an important best practice, ensuring all company policies, protocols, and forms are aligned with recent legal and regulatory developments. Reviewing the hiring process is even more vital this January to prepare for what is likely to be a very changeable job market over the next 12 months. The pace and impacts of COVID-19 vaccines rolling out across our communities remain unknown, so it’s good to have compliance in order before things heat up.
That’s why you don’t want to miss out on Asurint’s latest Keeping Up with Compliance webinar. Our “kiss 2020 goodbye” event took place just before the holidays, but you can still get the full overview by downloading the recording.
Keeping Up with Compliance: 2020 Legal Recap and Updates You Should Know compressed a whole year of legal and compliance details into one short session. It’s perfect for those of us who missed more than a few news alerts as life got crazy. (Pretty sure that’s ALL of us!)
Kelly Uebel, Asurint’s General Counsel, once again took the lead in covering the biggest employment law topics, focusing on background screening and drug testing issues. She provided participants with actionable information on such subjects as:
- 2020 election consequences
- Changes in the marijuana landscape
- Potential 2021 legislation on the horizon
- Key lessons from the litigation files
- COVID-19 updates for the next year
When you download the webinar, you’ll also gain access to our recently updated 50 State Guide. Keep this comprehensive resource handy to look up specific state and local regulations and requirements whenever you may need them.
Like many people bemoaning too many months cooped up, I’ve resolved to pepper my week with more walks outdoors and expect to take some interesting podcasts along. If you’ve set similar 2021 intentions, consider adding Keeping Up with Compliance to your playlist so you can get caught up while on the go!
Of course, you can also review this helpful webinar from the comfort of the couch—no judgment!
